Press Release Summary = Walk for the Animals is the Humane Society of Broward
County\'s largest annual fundraiser. Walkers are encouraged to help raise money for
the furry friends at the shelter while earning goodies for themselves.

Press Release Body = Join over 3,500 fellow animal lovers and dogs for a morning of
fun at the Humane Society of Broward County's "17th Annual Walk for the Animals"
presented by VCA Animal Hospitals. The event, chaired by Megan Weber and Karen
Abeleda, will take place Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Esplanade Park in beautiful
downtown Fort Lauderdale(in front of the Museum of Discovery & Science).
Registration is 8:00 a.m. and the 1.25 mile walk begins at 10:00 a.m. People can
walk with or without a dog. Help raise money to support the shelter and its
programs, while earning goodies for yourself. Last year $440,000 was raised and with
your support, the walk is sure to be the biggest ever!

The Humane Society of Broward County is a private, non-profit organization that
relies 100% on donations from people and companies who want to make a difference for
homeless animals. The shelter is not affiliated with any other organization,
receives no funding from the state or any national group and has only one location
at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale.
